09/06/2025 “Lucy” was hooked by a fisherman offshore. Upon being admitted radiographs were taken and surgery was performed the next day. Some of the metal leader was removed.
09/18/2025 “Lucy” continues to receive antibiotics and fluids until she is able to eat on her own.
10/21/2025 “Lucy” is no longer receiving antibiotics and fluids. She is receiving a daily iron supplement. She was raised to full water salinity and eats very well on her own without assistance.
11/07/2025 “Lucy” continued to improve and was medically cleared for release. She was successfully released on October 24 on Casey Key.
