Biography:

Gavin Bosco is the Diving Safety Officer for Mote Marine Laboratory locations across the Florida Keys. He is responsible for ensuring that all diving operations in the Keys are held to the utmost safety standards and conducts training exercises to keep diver skills sharp.
 
Gavin grew up in Southwest Florida and has lived in the Florida Keys for over 5 years. His studies and work have taken him around the world, most recently working as a technical diving instructor in Thailand. With over 1,400 dives, his highest passion is for the underwater world and training divers of all levels with a tight focus on fundamental diving skills, decompression theory, and safety through meticulous practice.
 
He has a strong background in scuba equipment servicing and maintenance, scientific diving, and seamanship. He is dedicated to ensuring that Mote Marine Laboratory Dive Teams are equipped to remain efficient and safe in the water.
